Plug-In Profit Site, Dotcomology and Stone Evans -- Genius

I'd like to take some time today to talk about something very special in the realm of Internet Marketing. It's called Dotcomology by author, Stone Evans. Well, let me tell you, I've known about Mr. Evans and his work going back quite some time now, In fact, it was back in 2004 when I first encountered the Plug-In Profit Site concept he created. Believe me, if I could turn back the clock, knowing what I know now, I would have most definiately joined forces with him back then.

Fast forward to now and having done my due diligence regarding PIPS, I'm here to say that I'm happy to be on board as a PIPS alliliate and would highly recommend this program to anyone interested in earning leveraged residual income. My research on this tells me that PIPS is best positioned (as a Marketing Organization) to capture greater market share through the current tide of rapid global expansion. In other words, the opportunity has become too solid to ignore. A new breed of top affiliates along with brand new affiliates have formed alliances and are preparing themselves in anticipation of forecasted major growth.

So how was it that I came upon this revelation? Well, somewhere (not sure exactly) I came upon Stone's free Dotcomology e-book. After downloading and reading it, I thought, wow, he sure is giving away lots of information. Not only does Evans provide information about helping start-ups manage an online business in today's highly competitive online marketplace, but he gives an abundance of practical tips, tools, techniques, and strategies that anyone can use to help grow their business.

I was also very impressed with the scope of the e-book; thorough and complete, not just the same-o-stuff found in most e-books covering the subject. Dotcomology runs the gammit and and offers solutions to the challenge of making a living online without making all of the costly mistakes.

I would further note that anyone having an interest in reading Dotcomology would be glad they discovered it. I feel fortunate to have found this e-book and have already begun using some of the techniques taught by Stone Evans.

I Fired My Forex Trading Robot

A word of caution about all those Forex trading robots and automated "black box" trading systems out there. They may not be all they are cracked up to be. In fact, i know some traders in the Forex community that have been wiped out in the Forex markets placing too much trust into artificial intelligence. I'm not saying the robots are bad news for the trading community at large; just not for me. I personally rather have complete control of my accounts and can offer some common sense advice when it comes to optimal Forex trading methods.

So let's take a few minutes to discuss Forex trading methods. It's no secret that we are constantly bombarded with new methods or systems just about on a daily basis now. You want to know exactly what differenciates the right ones to use, the best performing or the most educational. With so many methods, systems and automated programs, the question becomes; How do you select the one that is best for you? ... Or, which method gives you the best opportuntity for Forex trading success?

I've implemented a simple set of rules to follow when Evaluating a Forex Trading Method, course, system or program and today I'm happy to share them with you. First and foremost, any Forex trading method you consider must be complete. By complete, I mean the trading method must teach you the following:

Conditions: The precise conditions under which you can consider a Forex trade to be entered into. These are known as the "setup" conditions and refer to the technical indications (usually) that a Forex trade possibility exists.
Entry Point: The exact point at which you would enter into a Forex trade (price). This refers to the Entry Point (or Entry Rules) and means the price at which a Forex trade would be executed.
Rules: Rules for establishing initial and ongoing Stop loss marks for an open Forex trade. As part of Risk Management, it is imperative, especially in Forex, to have stop losses ALWAYS in place. If a Forex trading method or any Currency trading system for that matter does not teach or define these, you should abandon it. The upshot being that without effective stop loss management you can be easily wiped out in a single Forex trade should the market move against you.
Exit Strategy: The exact points and an effective strategy for exiting a Forex trade. Unlike stocks, you will rarely, if ever, find yourself holding a Forex pair position in the markets for extended periods of time. Therefore, it is also important that a method teach you a strategy for exiting a Forex trade once that trade has become profitable.

Combined, these four elements will help you to eliminate chance plus, actually Streamline and Optimize Your Forex Ttrading process. Without any of these, no Forex trading method, system or program should be considered because in each individual case, traders will be exposed to steep losses or taking poor positions. Keep in mind, not every setup will execute into a trade, nor should every Forex trade be taken. Once implemented, these rules will help to protect you both in evaluating and executing the method when trading Currencies.

Perhaps the Greatest Stock Pick of 2009

This is the story of a small and rather mundane record company -- until now perhaps. It also just so happens to be the long awaited Jason Kelly recommendation that his subscribers were clamoring for recently. So not surprisingly, the news is making the rounds in trading circles most notably because kelly is putting his reputation on the line.

The scoop is that last Friday, UOMO Media, Inc announced in a press release the launch of their new subsidiary "Ad UOMO". This new business model is quite ingenious as the company intends to use existing relationships with music stars such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Britney Spears and Celine Dion among others to broker deals between advertisers and artists.

It's ingenious because the model enables businesses to put their products into music videos and their brand names into song lyrics as easily as buying newspaper ad space (which by the way, newspapers going the way of the dinosaur, looks like a smart move here)! The upshot is that UOMO is one of the first companies looking to introduce product placement to the music industry on a "production line" type scale. This is much the same concept we see in the movies so often these days; as the mega star sips from a can of Diet Coke.

The stock UOMO actually doubled today at the open as I have been monitoring it's performance per stock guru Jason Kelly who said in an email, he would retire as a stock picker if this stock didn't triple this week. I know, that sounds like a pretty bold statement so I'm watching this like a hawk.

Currency Trading; The Ins and Outs

Currency trading, also known as Foreign Exchange (Forex) is in many ways different from trading stocks, but the benefits and risks are similar. This is mostly due to the fact that Forex price behavior of so-called "pairs" i.e., EUR/USD is different and in fact, involves abrupt price swings. Given this scenario, traders should absolutely employ trading methods that differ from those used to trade stocks so that they may fully realize Currency Trading Profits while still minimizing risk.

Both Forex and stocks, however, are similar in that they develop repeatable price trends that give enlightened traders significant profit opportunities on a more consistent basis. Call it technical trading if you will, but suffice to say traders with strong trading methods, disciplined trading mindsets and sound money management tactics will gain a distinct advantage in this business.

One of the reasons Forex has gained in popularity is the concept of leverage. This allows Forex traders to take positions with a much smaller account size than would be required for trading stocks, and since margin requirements on Forex are smaller than for stocks, the reward ratio for profitable trades increases--as well as the risk. For example, most brokers offer at least 100:1 leverage, which is adequate in order to generate significant profits while maintaining sound risk management. On the other hand, some brokers will offer up to 400:1 leverage--but the risk/reward ratio isn't in favor of the trader.

The take-away therefore from this synopsis is that leverage, combined with reduced margin requirements and high profit potential are the real driving forces behind this rapidly expanding Forex trading market.

As of this writing, the Dow is hanging around 8500. The Bulls have been running rampant these days and the question looming around trading circles is; which way is the Market headed in the midst of this wicked economy? Delicious Experiments with Automated Blog Post Bookmark Entries

That's Delicious, the popular social bookmarking service, of course. Until recently I was only using it as a convenience and as a way to keep track of what I deem articles of interest; particularly where my trading business is concerned. if you're new to all this just know that Delicious enables its users to tag, save, manage and share web pages from a central resource. In that way Delicious can greatly enhance how people discover, remember and share information on the Internet.

Even better, I just learned the bookmarking site now has an experimental feature that automatically posts entries to a user's blog on a daily basis if they wish -- Posts which very well can contain your latest links. Great news if you're looking for a linking strategy that costs zero dollars!

Here's how it works: Once you've established a Delicious account. Go to the "Settings" tab where you'll notice a number of utilities. Scroll down to the "Blogging" section, follow the instructions and you're good to go. The blog posting feature creates a daily post of your latest bookmarks to your blog. The information is then stored in your Delicious account where you may edit or delete content at any time. The "experimental feature" as Delicious is referring to it right now supports Movable Type, Typepad, Wordpress, and other kinds of blog software.

Discussing Google AdWords Over Lunch With Perry Marshall

It's not often I get to say that I had lunch with an Internet Marketing legend, but today I can. Perry Marshall, renown author, speaker, and business consultant was in Chicago today and I was invited to lunch as a member of his Renaissance Club. Perry was in town giving a seminar presentation on "How To Double Your Sales in 12 Months", arguably the best nuts and bolts, no nonsense marketing event I've had the pleasure of attending in recent memory. That's Perry Marshall and I pictured here.

Known as "The Wizard of Google AdWords" Perry is one of the world's leading specialists on buying search engine traffic. His books on Google advertising including the ever-popular Definitive Guide to Google Adwords are the most popular in the world. Perry is quoted frequently on the Internet and most notably in USA Today, the Chicago Tribune and Entrepreneur Magazine.

During a lunchtime break at the seminar I asked Perry what he thought was the most effective use of copy in a three-line Google Ad; meaning should the copy constitute a sentence or three separate phrases to attract the interest of the prospect. Perry's response was that he preferred phrasing and that it should have a rhythm of sorts. Very interesting because I'm left with the impression that Perry Marshall treats Google Adwords much like an art form. As well he should. Perry is the foremost Google AdWords expert.

Bulls Beware The Bearish Bias

I wrote an article today that I posted over at Squidoo; something I call The Bear Market Daily News. Well, I made some observations while analyzing a chart of the S&P Index that changed my mind about which way I believe the market will turn--at least for this week. There's one thing about being an Active Trader that should be noted; you have to be nimble enough to change your position, go into cash or adjust and evaluate your trades.

Looking at S&P Futures this morning, they were down -14 points in the pre-market so that definitely influenced my trading today. Just a couple of days ago I was somewhat bullish I think mainly due to the fact that VectorVest, a service of which I am a subscriber, marked a "confirmed up" signal on 3/26. To their credit, they are correct 95% of the time. But if the market does not follow through and at the same time the technicals make sense to me, I have to consider that; particularly when trading options as I do. As always, I'm exercising caution as a 2009 slide could very well precede any sustained Bull Market action.

Post Financial Fools, London Calling For Big Rally

Looking at futures today on Thursday, April 2, 2009, 7:14am Central Time, S&P Futures are up 14.50 points. Notes from my trading journal today entered pre-market have me feeling somewhat bullish today -- A 2% rally on the Dow yesterday,4/1, S&P futures this morning, and foreign markets all sharply up; no wonder. Interesting too that London's FTSE is up 2.5% at midday following yesterday's "foolish" demonstration yesterday at the G20 meeting. I'm talking about the goofs clashing with riot police dubbing it Financial Fools Day; as they broke into a heavily guarded Royal Bank of Scotland. Fools yeah, thought those young Brits had more class. I guess not.

In any event, back to the Bulls, I'm considering as well, an aforementioned (in previous post) a confirmed "market up" signal from VectorVest on 3/26. This does seam to be poised to follow through now. I'm including in this post, an article I found on "Growth Stock Wire" http://www.growthstockwire.com/archive/2009/mar/2009_mar_31.asp to back-up my bullishness; at least until market close on Friday, April 3. Beyond that, I'll exercise caution as the 2009 Bear Market I believe has yet to bottom.

Futures Down Vector Up

At this very moment, Friday, March 27, 2009 at 8:25am Central Time, the S&P Futures are down 11.50 points, while at the same time, a service that I subscribe to; VectorVest is signaling a "Market Call Up" in it's analysis formed after market close yesterday. I see therefore, a tricky trading day ahead and what amounts to as quite possibly a pivotal day. I say this because I'm also looking at a 6-month chart of the Dow hinting at a breakthrough of what I have previously noted to be second-level resistance. If indeed the Bulls have there way, there might be a stampede of buyers into the rally from yesterday. The Dow finished up 175 points on Thursday.

So, what do you think... Are you Bullish or Bearish today?
